ONLINE gamblers are being offered a simpler way of funding their habit, with a call for greater regulation of the industry.

The Australian online sports betting companies Sports Acumen and Global Sportsbet have announced they are including the POLi funds transfer service.

The service enables users to quickly transfer funds from their savings account without undertaking any registration process.

"We aim to provide our customers with choice, and POLi fills a key piece of the online payments jigsaw," Sports Acumen's general manager, Rob Gallagher, said.
