What Is Position Taking

When taking a position in an event, you will be issued a betting slip on the screen. Don't bother printing them out, just keep the information in a chart. You might use an Excel spreadsheet or you might just print it out. I like to fill mine out on pre-printed charts because I don't like to sit in front of my computer all the time but you can do what you want.
This has been an excerpt from Robert Thatcher's flagstaff manual, the Statistical Betting Guide.

Sun Tzu said: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt". Making money with sports betting has nothing to do with gambling. Do you want to learn the secret methods successful bettors apply each and every day?

What Is Bargain hunting

Hunting for value bets is almost as fun as winning. (Not quite... but almost). However, it is also time consuming. If you're clicking between bookie's sites and those bookies are updating in real time, you could be placing what you think are value bets when they really aren't… because other bookies are moving the same time you are placing your bet.

One way to help you find value bets is to use odds comparison sites. These will hunt around bet-makers sites and view their odds and then post them and compare them. Bet Brain is one such site. These comparison sites are so helpful.

However you need to be aware of a few things: Namely, you should know that these sites sometimes mistake one event for another and so don't take them as your final authority on value bets. Use it as a guide and then check out the bets for yourself.

Also, be aware that these sites are not always in real time. They take a "snapshot" if you will and post it... then take another snapshot later. This gives them accurate quoting for a brief period of time. Again, use this as a guide rather than as the rule. Don't be shocked if you find a bet that is different between the comparison site and the bookmaker's site.

Secret #3 for being successful at sports betting

If you know a lot about sports, you won’t automatically be successful
I think this secret brings in more newbies to sports betting than anything else. Every sports fan thinks they know a lot about sports, so they assume they will be good at betting on sports. The real truth is, most people know next to nothing about sports. Sure you might be able to tell me who’s good and who sucks, but you probably can’t tell me how good an NBA team is on the road after they play back to back nights. This is why many sports bettors lose. They look at things on the surface and listen to ESPN analysts and then make their picks. If you have good sports knowledge, it will definitely help you overtime, but don’t rely on that as your only source of information.

Secret #2 for winning at sports betting

This is a huge sports betting secret that many people fail to learn. If 80% of the betting public is on one team, do not bet on that team. Stay as far away from them as you can. This always happens when games look too easy, and there is a for sure “lock”. Many people who don’t even bet on sports will make a wager on the game because they think it’s easy money. This is why sportsbooks make millions of dollars a year, and 97% of sports bettors lose money. Do not join the crowd and let them lead you right off the edge of the cliff. I always bet on the other team, or stay away from the game completely.

How To Be A Sports Betting Champ?

Luckily, I had spent last few months developing a software for a popular sports betting site. If you are into sports betting, chances are you use that software :)

This gave me an opportunity to work behind the counter and see how they operate. I noticed a few particular secrets that I am going to reveal here. (The kind of things they don't cover in non-disclosure).

1) Very few (not allowed to mention exact percent) of the people who bet win.

2) People who lose have no recognizable order or pattern in their betting. I concluded they are just betting on luck.

3) Newspaper hints or news like "Manchestor is in low spirit", have big influence on bets made. Not surprisingly, they are proved wrong more than often. People who bet on those news lose the most.

4) The kind of people who actually take money have very high winning rate. Most of them were winning atleast four out of five times.

5) The winners 'wise guys' always use a system. You can recognize their betting style and their system.

7) The winners never place bet on all the games. They make mostly winning entries. Like a clever hunter they know how to sit and wait for the prey.

8) Most winners use statistics based software or systems. This becomes clear once you see their betting patterns.

9) Beginners are the ones to lose money. Most people don't continue betting beyond six months. Those who do learn the art of betting and take big rewards.

My lesson from the above - If you are into betting (sports, not casino gambling), don't do that without a winning system.

Secret #1 for success at sports betting

In a long line of sucker bets, teasers and parlays rank right at the top. The name teaser itself should tip you off as to what the bet is all about. Both of these types of bets are long term losers for the bettor, and long term winners for the sports book. The payouts on both of these bets make them look very attractive, but in reality, you will earn more money just betting the games straight up. Let’s look at the parlay for example. If you have a three team parlay and you put $20 on it and it pays 6-1, you must win all three games to win $120. In my experience you will not 3-0 one out of every six times. You‘ll usually go 3-0 about one out of every eleven times. So already you are at a disadvantage. The second reason sports books love parlays is because you can still have a winning record and lose. If you do a three team parlay and go 2-1, you would have a profitable day if you bet the games straight up. However, since you parlayed them, you’re actually having a losing day because you’re 0-1 on your parlay and down $20. Teasers and parlays are a joke, and anyone who is looking to make money betting on sports should stay away from them.

How To Start Using SportsBettingChamp

A lot of guys out there believe that SportsBettingChamp is a scam, well let them hold on their belief. Meanwhile for those of you who are either planning to buy it or have bought it already. Here is my quick start guide!

As soon as you purchase the system, you should be getting a mail from John to open your account at a particular bookmarker. If you are already into sportsbetting and got a betting account you can use that one. However, John says he has had best results with this bookmarker. No personal experience to cite. I had not opened the account at that bookmarker. I was using betfair and I was/am quite happy with it. I don't think it matters. The only thing is that you should have a betting account. If you don't want to do that then this system is not for you!

Once you have opened the account, you will start receiving instructions for making bets. You can start placing your bets immediately. Start with smaller bets. This will help you understand the system and also build up your confidence.

If that sounds simple then don't wonder. The system is as simple as that!

There are definitely some more tips that make these results even better. But for Squares that is the way to start
